The footage that emerged from the 'Youth Festival' event, hosted by Eser Yenenler and held at a stadium with a capacity of 35 thousand, drew attention and sparked numerous comments. While it was observed that some young people, who attended the event thinking they were going to a concert, tried to hide from the cameras attempting to film them, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel made notable statements regarding these images.

Evaluating the AKP's perspective on youth through the event that took place, Özel used the following expressions:

“Erdoğan held a youth festival in Kocaeli.

They invited the youth by saying, ‘There will be a free concert.’ They did not say it was an AK Party event.

Then, they tried to lynch the host because he had criticized the AK Party before.

AK Party officials were once again uncomfortable with the footage of young people dancing in the stands.
