National swimmer Deniz Akbıyık reacted on her social media account to the high taxes applied to sports equipment she ordered from abroad.

Stating that she paid 29 euros for the product she bought from France and 13 euros for shipping, Akbıyık rebelled against the 90-euro tax added to her order when it arrived in Turkey.

Tagging Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek and Minister of Youth and Sports Aşkın Bak, Akbıyık questioned the logic of the taxation and described the situation as "making fun of people."
