In the north of Iraq, on December 22, 2023, 3 of our heroic comrades-in-arms were martyred and 4 of our heroic comrades-in-arms were wounded in an attack carried out by members of the separatist terrorist organization and the subsequent contact.

Contact continues in the region as part of operations against the separatist terrorist organization. Sudden air operations have been carried out against identified targets and the escape routes of the terrorists. According to initial determinations, 4 terrorists have been neutralized.

In this incident, which has plunged us into deep pain and sorrow, we wish God's mercy upon our dear martyrs, and offer our condolences and patience to their grieving families, the Turkish Armed Forces, and our noble nation, and we wish a speedy recovery to our wounded personnel.
