Parent-teacher meetings are now digital! Parent appointment system from the Ministry of National Education

The Ministry of National Education (MEB) has launched a "parent appointment system" for meetings that parents will hold with school principals and teachers in a digital environment.

Parents will be able to schedule appointments for teacher meetings through school websites using their e-Devlet credentials.

Following the call by Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin to establish an appointment system between school principals and teachers, which is implemented in many Western countries, the MEB General Directorate of Information Technology has developed a digital application for teacher-parent meetings.

With the "parent appointment system" developed by software experts and made available for use, parents will be able to set meeting times with teachers to discuss their children's educational status.

The parent appointment system begins with school administrators first determining the availability of teachers.

Parents will be able to access the system by logging into the school's website with their e-Devlet credentials. In the system, they will be able to request appointments for the available time slots in the teachers' availability schedule.

Appointment requests will be accepted in the system until noon on the Friday before the week for which the appointment is requested. On the afternoon of the same day, the school administration will convey the appointment times to the teachers.

After logging in through the system, parents will be able to request appointments, as well as view their current and past appointments, and cancel their appointments up until the appointment date.
