The Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) will resume its work on October 1 following a break of approximately three months. According to a report by Besti Karalar from Ekonomim, the AKP is making final preparations for the first legislative regulations it plans to submit to Parliament in October.
In the new term, the economy, constitutional debates, social policies, and foreign developments will stand out on Parliament's agenda. Intense debates are expected between the government and the opposition.
CENTRAL BANK PRESENTATION TO THE PLANNING AND BUDGET COMMITTEE
The Planning and Budget Committee, which is the most prolific legislative committee in Parliament, will begin the new legislative year with a presentation by the Central Bank Governor. The committee will convene on October 7 under the chairmanship of AKP Samsun Deputy Mehmet Muş.
Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) Governor Fatih Karahan will make assessments regarding global developments, the Turkish economy, inflation, and monetary policies during his presentation on Tuesday, October 7. Interest rate decisions and inflation are expected to be among the most notable topics of the meeting.
OPENING PROCESS COMMISSION
The agenda in the TBMM will not be limited to the economy alone. The National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission, established within the scope of the new opening process called "Terror-Free Turkey," will also continue its work at full speed in October. The commission plans to complete the consultations it has received from different segments of society by October.
With the new legislative year, it is expected that legal regulations regarding this process will also be opened for debate.
