Parliamentary commission to be established regarding school attacks and risks encountered in digital environments

A parliamentary research commission has been established in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) regarding the attacks that occurred at schools in Şanlıurfa and Kahramanmaraş.

In the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), a motion for a Parliamentary Inquiry was unanimously accepted to investigate all aspects of the incidents that occurred at schools in Şanlıurfa and Kahramanmaraş, as well as the risks and negative effects children encounter in digital environments.

A debate was held in the TBMM General Assembly for the establishment of a research commission following the attacks in Şanlıurfa and Kahramanmaraş.

Following the speeches, the establishment of the Research Commission was approved.

The commission will consist of 22 members and will have a term of 3 months.

Commission members will be able to travel outside of Ankara when necessary.
