Participation of AK Party and MHP in PKK's disarmament ceremony remains uncertain

Preparations for the symbolic disarmament ceremony to be held in Sulaymaniyah tomorrow morning have concluded. Within the scope of the organization, which is being conducted under security measures, new details have emerged regarding the delegations and guests who will attend the ceremony.

A limited delegation of 150 people from Turkey is expected to attend the ceremony, which will take place between 08:00 and 09:00 on Friday, July 11. According to the information obtained, numerous international observers will also be present at the ceremony. Officials speaking about the preparations for the organization stated that participants will be transported by bus from the city center of Sulaymaniyah and that the location of the ceremony is being kept secret for security reasons.

Murat Şen from the DEM Party stated that participants have reached the region via Erbil International Airport and the Ibrahim Khalil Border Gate. Regarding the question on the political agenda, "Will there be participation from the AK Party and MHP?", Şen clarified the situation with the following words: "Some parties from Turkey will attend the ceremony, but we do not have any official information regarding the participation of the AK Party and MHP."

The ceremony is attracting intense interest not only from Turkey but also from Europe and the USA. A comprehensive group of observers consisting of more than 30 parliamentarians, academics, and politicians has also arrived in Sulaymaniyah to witness this historic moment.

While the coordinates of the disarmament ceremony are being kept confidential for security reasons, it was reported that guests will be transported to the event area in groups and that the ceremony will also be viewable on a large screen.
