Passenger train collides with concrete mixer in Tekirdağ
In the Çerkezköy district of Tekirdağ, approximately 80 passengers were taken to the platform following a collision between a passenger train and a concrete mixer. It was stated that the journey would continue after the damaged locomotive is replaced.

A passenger train operated by the Turkish State Railways (TCDD), numbered E68 009 and traveling from Istanbul to Sofia, collided with a concrete mixer with license plate 34 TJ 316, driven by Ufuk Özsenoğlu, as it attempted to cross the Veliköy level crossing in the Çerkezköy district of Tekirdağ.
The driver of the vehicle, Özsenoğlu, was injured after being dragged by the passenger train due to the force of the impact. Upon notification, health, gendarmerie, fire, and search and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured driver was taken to a private hospital following initial intervention by medical teams at the scene.
Meanwhile, it was learned that the train, which sustained damage in the accident, would continue its journey after its locomotive is replaced. Approximately 80 passengers, including foreign tourists, on the Istanbul-Sofia passenger train were safely taken to the platform to wait. It was reported that none of the passengers were injured and their health status is good.
It was stated that the passengers would continue their journey by rail after the replacement and repairs are completed on the train. While the train moved from the scene to the station for repairs, the concrete mixer was removed from the tracks with the help of a crane. The level crossing, which was closed to traffic for a long time, has been reopened.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
