Following preparations at the Palace, the regulation, which will be finalized in Parliament on Tuesday, will be presented by the AKP Group to the opposition for their views and suggestions. The regulation, which will consist of 20-25 articles separate from the 10th Judicial Package, expands the scope of probation for those who entered prison before July 31, 2023.

For repeat offenses, 3/4 of the sentence will be applied for parole instead of the full sentence.

'HOME CONFINEMENT' OPTION

The option of "home confinement" for mothers with children and patients unable to sustain their lives under prison conditions will also be included in the regulation.

CHANGES TO PROBATION PERIODS

According to the report by Besti Karalar from Ekonomim, changes are also expected in probation periods.

TO BE ENACTED BEFORE PARLIAMENT GOES INTO RECESS

AKP sources state that while the Judicial Package may be postponed until October, the enforcement regulation will be enacted before Parliament goes into recess.
