Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced on social media that unemployment benefits, short-term work allowances, and partial work allowances will be deposited into accounts before Eid al-Adha.

Minister Işıkhan stated that the unemployment and short-term work allowance payments, which were normally scheduled for June 5, have been moved forward due to the holiday, saying, "We are moving forward the Unemployment Benefit and Short-Term Work Allowance payments, which we were going to make on June 5, and will deposit them into accounts on May 26, on the eve of Eid al-Adha."

Within the same scope, partial work allowance, wage guarantee fund, and job loss compensation payments will also be transferred to the accounts of beneficiaries on May 26. Işıkhan noted that payments for those with account information in the system will be deposited into their bank accounts, while citizens without account information will be able to receive their payments via PTT.

The early payment decision aims to provide economic support to citizens before holiday expenditures. The payments will be both a relief for millions of people and a boost to the economy.
