Following the appointment of a trustee to the television channel TELE1, a penguin documentary was aired as the channel's first broadcast.

TELE1 Editor-in-Chief Merdan Yanardağ was detained within the scope of an "espionage" investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Following this development, a trustee was appointed to ABC Radyo Televizyon ve Dijital Yayıncılık A.Ş., and the management of the channel was transferred to the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF).
With the arrival of the trustee, a penguin documentary was the first program to be aired on TELE1 during a live broadcast.
