Mahmut Ayparçası, the candidate nominated for mayor by the People's Alliance in the Çamaş district of Ordu, insulted the CHP candidate Leyla Çıtır.

Ayparçası said the following about Çıtır: "For 31 years, she hasn't even been able to collect her own salary; she has just wandered around like an ornamental gourd. There is nothing else. There is one thing she knows very well, and that is gossiping. If I get into that, I will tell you those rumors on live broadcast too. Alright? My girl, pull yourself together. After all, this is an election, what is going on? You are hugging everyone you see. Is this in our faith? Is this in our morality? You have set a very bad example for Çamaş. Pull yourself together."

 

“HE HAS REVEALED HIS OWN LEVEL”

Leyla Çıtır responded to Ayparçası's scandalous remarks.

Making a statement on her social media account, Çıtır used the following expressions:

"The election process, which we have been conducting with mutual respect, was disrupted today by a major disrespect shown to me by Mahmut Ayparçası. By directing a series of insults at me on March 8, International Women's Day, he has revealed his own level. Nothing said will be of any benefit to a person who has no respect for women, who form the foundation of society and the family. For this reason, I will continue to talk not about my opponents, but about myself and what I will do for my Çamaş. I present this to the public with my respect and love."

STERN REACTION FROM MUSTAFA ADIGÜZEL

CHP Ordu Deputy Mustafa Adıgüzel also reacted to the scandalous remarks of People's Alliance candidate Ayparçası as follows:

"The current mayor of Ordu's Çamaş district and the re-nominated People's Alliance candidate Mahmut Ayparçası is immorally insulting the CHP's female candidate Leyla Çıtır, and on Women's Day, at a Women's Cooperative, no less.

Politics has a morality, it has a level. His level is already obvious, but what should be said to those sitting next to him who remain silent? Will his own party and AKP officials and deputies correct this, or should I do that job?"
