Pesticides detected in lemons sent to Dubai: 71 thousand kilograms destroyed!
It has been announced that pesticides were found in lemons prepared for export from Turkey to Dubai, and that 71 thousand 250 kilograms of lemons were destroyed.

The General Directorate of Food and Control of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry announced that during inspections conducted in Hatay on lemons intended for export to Dubai, pesticides banned for use in Turkey were detected, and these lemons were destroyed under security measures.
Information regarding the matter was provided in a statement made on the General Directorate's social media account.
The statement noted that during an official inspection carried out by control officers at a company in Hatay, samples were taken from the lemon products to be exported to Dubai, and the following was recorded:
"As a result of the analyses performed, the banned pesticide Fenbutatin Oxide, the use of which has been terminated in Turkey, was detected. A total of 71 thousand 250 kilograms of lemons, which did not comply with the Turkish Food Codex, were placed under protection and destroyed on March 3. Our inspections for food safety continue without interruption."
