The incident occurred in the evening hours at a 2-story adobe house located in the Uluırmak neighborhood of the central Meram district. According to the information obtained, the tenants living on the ground floor of the adobe house sprayed the apartment to kill insects last Monday and then left the house after sealing the windows and doors with tape.
THEY APPLIED TO THE HOSPITAL
After the smell of the pesticide leaked into the apartment on the second floor where N.D. resided, N.D.'s daughter and grandchildren were affected by the fumes. When N.D.'s daughter A.T. (40), her children F.T. (18) and Y.T. (15), and her nieces/nephews S.G.B. (21) and M.B. (17) fell ill this morning, they went to the hospital complaining of nausea, while the grandmother N.D. and 7-year-old Ahmet Enes Temel remained at home. After a while, when grandmother N.D. noticed that her grandson Ahmet Enes Temel was unresponsive, she reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Following the initial intervention by medical teams dispatched to the address, Ahmet Enes Temel was taken to Konya Numune Hospital. Despite all interventions performed there, the 7-year-old child could not be saved and lost his life.
On the other hand, it was learned that N.D.'s daughter A.T. and her grandchildren were staying with grandmother N.D. due to the semester break. After the police teams completed their investigations at the scene, the house was ventilated by the relatives of the tenants from the ground floor. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
