In the election held in Gaziosmanpaşa, AKP Council Member Eray Karadeniz was elected deputy mayor.

Following the election, AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan called Karadeniz on the phone and conveyed his best wishes for success to the entire organization.

Gaziosmanpaşa Mayor Hakan Bahçetepe had been arrested and suspended from his duties as part of a corruption investigation into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB).

The deputy mayor election for the Gaziosmanpaşa Municipality was held today.

In the election held in Gaziosmanpaşa, the AKP's candidate for deputy mayor was Eray Karadeniz, while the CHP's candidate was Murat Topaloğlu.

In the council vote, the CHP candidate received 16 votes, while in the 3rd round, the AKP candidate Eray Karadeniz was elected Deputy Mayor of Gaziosmanpaşa with 21 votes.
