Phone conversations revealed in incident where two girls died in Tekirdağ
New details have emerged in the investigation following the deaths of two girls who were shot with a firearm in the Marmaraereğlisi district. Phone conversations the children had before losing their lives have been revealed.

In an incident that occurred on November 15, 2024, in the Marmaraereğlisi district of Tekirdağ, two girls named Yağmur E. and Rabia Kübra Y. were found shot with a firearm in a house in the Bahçelievler neighborhood.
Law enforcement officers dispatched to the scene upon notification determined that there was no third person in the house. Initial investigations indicated that Yağmur E.'s family was at work and, upon being unable to reach the children, directed their neighbors to check on them, leading to the discovery of the situation.
WEAPON FOUND TO BE UNLICENSED
Examinations at the scene determined that the weapon used was an unlicensed pistol belonging to the homeowner. A statement from the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office indicated that the investigation is focusing on the possibility that Rabia Kübra Y. shot Yağmur E. and then committed suicide using the same weapon.
FINAL PHONE CALL DRAWS ATTENTION
A phone conversation Yağmur E. had with her friend Y.A. before the incident was another factor strengthening the possibility of suicide. According to the statement provided by Y.A., Yağmur E. had told her that she planned to harm herself using her father's weapon and that she would call Rabia Kübra Y. to help her with this.
INITIAL FINDINGS STRENGTHEN SUICIDE POSSIBILITY
A statement from the Çorlu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office noted that security camera footage from the scene was examined, and forensic examinations and gunshot residue tests were conducted. According to the research, it was noted that there was no hostility between Yağmur E. and Rabia Kübra Y., and that the incident appears to be a case of suicide.
The investigation into all aspects of the incident is ongoing.
