Physically disabled man alleges: "My cousin tied my hands and feet and took out a 260,000 TL loan"
In Adana, a person with a 40 percent physical disability has filed a criminal complaint, alleging that his cousin drugged his drink, tied his hands and feet while he was unconscious, and then forced him at gunpoint to take out a 260,000 TL loan through his mobile banking app.

Mustafa Mamık (38), who lives in Adana and has a 40 percent physical disability, allegedly bought quarter gold coins from his cousin T.Ö., who works as a barber, for cheaper than the market price every month after receiving his disability pension for about a year. However, when Mamık, who was in need of money last May, went to a jeweler to sell the gold, he learned that the coins were fake.
"HE DECEIVED ME BY SAYING HE WOULD GIVE ME LAND"
Upon this, Mamık went to his cousin and argued with him. Later, his cousin T.Ö. called Mamık over, saying, "I have a plot of land. Come, let me give it to you." Trusting his cousin, Mamık went to meet him, got into the car, drank the beverage offered to him, and passed out.
According to the allegations, when he woke up, Mamık realized his hands and feet were tied and saw his cousin T.Ö. standing over him with a gun. T.Ö. forced his cousin to provide his mobile banking password at gunpoint, accessed the application, and took out a 260,000 TL loan. T.Ö. then transferred this money to the accounts of individuals named İ.Ö. and H.Ö. T.Ö., who also threatened his cousin with death, later released him.
Mustafa Mamık, who said he could not go to the police for a while out of fear, filed a criminal complaint with the prosecutor's office on May 27 after a lien was placed on his disability pension.

Speaking to the İhlas News Agency, Mustafa Mamık claimed that he was defrauded and victimized by his cousin, stating, "I was buying quarter gold coins from my cousin whenever I had money. Later, I realized the gold was fake and we fought. He told me, 'I have a plot of land.' We agreed, we got into the car, and they gave me a drink. When I woke up, I was unconscious and my hands were tied."
"I filed a complaint, I am seeking justice"
Explaining that the debt has risen to 600,000 liras with interest, Mamık said, "A 260,000 lira loan was taken out, but now the debt is 600,000 liras with interest. When I went to his house, he pulled a gun on me. I filed a complaint, I am seeking justice. My pension has been seized for 5 months," he stated.
