Poet Nevzat Çelik announces he has been summoned to the police station again: 'In my country, a fire is called a fire'

Poet Nevzat Çelik was detained due to a social media post regarding the forest fire in İzmir.

After giving his statement, Çelik was released.

Following his release, Çelik had made a statement saying, "Are we never to see, hear, or speak? Are we never to criticize? What is wanted?

Stating that he was summoned to the police department again after his statement was taken and he was released, poet Nevzat Çelik noted that his post about the fire was viewed as a 'lie' and that he was surprised by this situation.

Yet in my country, a “fire is called a fire”!

As a result, within 24 hours, I have been slapped with a travel ban.

I thank my friends who did not leave me alone.

By the way, I also noticed that not a peep came from the prominent names and accounts that I have supported and will continue to support whenever they are in trouble.

It would be a lie to say I am not saddened!
