Poison alarm in toys! Ministry orders recall

The Ministry of Trade has published a new disclosure list via the Unsafe Product Information System (GÜBİS). As a result of the inspections, substances posing serious risks, particularly in products intended for children, were encountered. In this context, a recall decision has been made for certain products.
TOXIC SUBSTANCES IN TOYS
According to GÜBİS data, the most notable product was the soft toy (slime) belonging to the "Baba" brand. The following statements were included in the laboratory analyses conducted on the product:
“Contains Toxic Heavy Metals. (Arsenic, Boron, Lead)”
For this reason, it was decided to withdraw the product from the market. The detection of chemicals that threaten children's health in particular has alarmed parents and consumer groups.
CLOSE MONITORING OF TOYS, CLEANING, AND CLOTHING PRODUCTS
The inspections were not limited to toys. Children's clothing products and some cleaning materials were also taken under review. GÜBİS continues to disclose unsafe products to the public to raise consumer awareness.
