Police officer sentenced to 8 years for FETÖ ties captured
A dismissed chief police officer, who was sentenced to 8 years, 1 month, and 15 days in prison for FETÖ/PDY ties, has been captured and arrested in Mersin.

According to the information received, teams from the Mersin Provincial Police Department's Counter-Terrorism and Intelligence Branches conducted an operation regarding individuals wanted for receiving sentences related to the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization/Parallel State Structure (FETÖ/PDY).
During the teams' investigation, M.A., a dismissed chief police officer wanted by the Heavy Penal Execution and Enforcement Bureau due to a finalized prison sentence of 8 years, 1 month, and 15 days, was identified in the Yenişehir district. The convicted individual was captured by the police.
Following the procedures at the police station, the convict was referred to the courthouse and subsequently arrested and sent to Tarsus Prison.
