Access to some economic posts suggesting that there could be a rise in oil prices has been blocked. It was stated that the decision in question was taken by the President of the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK) upon the application of the General Directorate of Security on the grounds of "protecting national security and public order."

According to EngelliWeb, the access blocking decision issued by the BTK later passed through judicial review. The Ankara 12th Criminal Judgeship of Peace approved the block with its decision dated March 2, 2026, and numbered 2026/2388.

Following the implementation of the decision, the X platform restricted the posts in question so that they cannot be accessed from Turkey.
