Police seize 10-million-year-old fossil!
A 10-million-year-old fossil was seized during an operation conducted by police teams in Kayseri. An investigation into the incident has been launched.

Kayseri Provincial Police Department Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch teams, following a 3-month surveillance operation, conducted a search at the residence of a suspect identified as Ç.Y. in the Erkilet Neighborhood of the Kocasinan district, where they seized fossil fragments dating back to the Miocene period, 10 million years ago.
The seized fossils were confiscated by the teams and placed under protection at the police station, while Ç.Y. was taken into custody and brought to the station.
An investigation into the incident has been launched.
