Police statements revealed: Dilan Polat and Engin Polat disclose their monthly income

The statements made to the police by Dilan Polat and Engin Polat, who were detained as part of an investigation into allegations of money laundering and tax evasion, have been revealed.

An investigation was launched into Dilan Polat and Engin Polat, a couple who frequently made headlines with their luxurious lifestyle and whose source of income had become a subject of curiosity, over allegations of money laundering and tax evasion.

Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 24 suspects, including Engin Polat, Dilan Polat, Sinem Sıla Doğu, Sezgin Polat, and the couple's lawyers Haydar Enes Çetinkaya and Ahmet Gün, were detained in an operation carried out by the Financial Crimes Investigation Bureau teams at 01:15 on November 1, following the prosecutor's instructions. The processing of 18 of the suspects was completed at the police station in the early morning hours.

The Polat couple, who were in custody, were referred to the courthouse following their statements at the Police Department.

HOW MUCH IS THEIR MONTHLY INCOME?

The statements given by Dilan Polat and Engin Polat to the police have emerged. Dilan Polat responded to a question regarding their change of residence by saying, “We did it for the children's school,” but this turned out to be unfounded.

In her statement, Dilan Polat claimed that her monthly income was 150,000-200,000 TL. Engin Polat also declared his monthly income as 150,000-200,000 TL.

On the other hand, it was noted that Dilan Polat cried throughout her statement and responded to the questions directed at her by saying, “My husband and the accounting department handle the company's transactions and the flow of money. I am just the advertising face.”

It was learned that the couple could not provide an answer to the question, “How do you live such a luxurious life with this income?”
