Prof. Dr. İzzet Özgenç, a criminal law expert and former legal advisor to AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, stated, "Mr. President, it is a cautionary situation that the report prepared by MASAK, dated 07.08.2026 and numbered 2026-492-77-5736751, regarding the aforementioned investigation currently on Turkey's agenda, is being kept secret from the suspects' lawyers while its content is being shared in various media outlets."
Drawing attention to the fact that the report dated August 7, 2026, and numbered 2026-492-77-5736751 was published in some media outlets despite being kept secret from the lawyers of the suspects in the investigation, Özgenç criticized the reflection of the report's content in the press in his post addressed to the President.
Özgenç's social media post is as follows:
"Mr. President, it is a cautionary situation that the report prepared by MASAK, dated 07.08.2026 and numbered 2026-492-77-5736751, regarding the aforementioned investigation currently on Turkey's agenda, is being kept secret from the suspects' lawyers while its content is being shared in various media outlets. I submit this to your information for your consideration."
