In a statement issued by the municipality, it was announced that legal proceedings had been initiated regarding the posts made after the accident involving Zeyrek and the content on the website.

The statement indicated that a criminal complaint had been filed with the Manisa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for the preparation of an indictment on charges of “inciting the public to hatred and hostility or insulting them” and “insulting the memory of a deceased person.”
