Prayer for forest fires from Diyanet President Erbaş

Diyanet President Ali Erbaş performed the night prayer (yatsı) at the Şırnak Grand Mosque. Erbaş said, "May our Almighty Lord protect our country and our nation from all disasters and calamities. May He grant ease to our brothers and sisters who are working heart and soul to extinguish the fires."

Diyanet President Ali Erbaş, who came to Şırnak for a series of official visits, visited the Grand Mosque in the İsmet Paşa neighborhood along with Governor Birol Ekici, Mayor Mehmet Yarka, AKP Şırnak Deputy Arslan Tatar, and Provincial Mufti Orhan Örnek.

Performing the night prayer with the congregation, Erbaş stated in his remarks after the prayer that the forest fires continuing in various parts of the country in recent days have brought sorrow to the hearts of the entire nation. Erbaş said, "We will offer prayers in all our mosques tonight after the night prayer for the forest fires, which have been continuing for some time in different regions of our country and burning our lungs, to come to an end as soon as possible."

Praying with the congregation after the service, Erbaş said, "May our Almighty Lord protect our country and our nation from all disasters and calamities. May He grant ease to our brothers and sisters who are working heart and soul to extinguish the fires."

Following the prayers, Erbaş chatted with the mosque congregation for a while.
