Pregnant woman killed by stray bullet

In the Çerkezköy district of Tekirdağ, a pregnant woman sitting in front of her home lost her life after being struck by gunfire during a fight involving a pump-action shotgun.

A fight broke out in the street in the Bağlık neighborhood between a resident identified as Ş.D. and his neighbor S.C., with whom he reportedly had a long-standing feud. During the altercation, Ş.D. fired a pump-action shotgun indiscriminately.

At that moment, 22-year-old S.G., who was six months pregnant and sitting in front of her home, was wounded.

Following reports of the incident, numerous police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.

S.G., who received initial medical intervention at the scene, later passed away at Çerkezköy State Hospital.

The baby, who was delivered via emergency surgery, has been placed in an incubator.
