Pregnant woman targeted by husband's bullets: Argument ends in bloodshed

In the incident that occurred in the Osman Gazi neighborhood, Firdevs K. (19) went to her father's house on Mimar Sinan Street. After her husband Yaşar K. (20) arrived at the house, an argument broke out between the couple. As the argument escalated, Yaşar K. fired at Firdevs K. with a shotgun he had brought with him.
Upon reports from those who heard the gunshots, health and police teams were dispatched to the address. Firdevs K., who was struck by pellets and determined to be three months pregnant, was taken to Kütahya City Hospital by medical teams. It was learned that the woman, who is under treatment, is in good health.
Yaşar K., who fled the scene by car, was apprehended by teams from the Provincial Security Directorate's Public Order Branch in the Sultanbağı neighborhood. The shotgun was seized during a search of the vehicle.
The suspect, who was taken into custody, was brought to the police station for processing. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
