The Directorate of Communications Center for Combating Disinformation announced that images circulating on social media accounts, which were claimed to belong to a person infected with the 'monkeypox virus,' contain manipulation.

In the statement, which noted that the photograph in question belongs to a person hit by shotgun pellets during protests in Iran in 2022, it was stated, "The photograph has no connection to monkeypox disease. Do not give credence to baseless claims."
