President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at a rally held in Tekirdağ.
Highlights from Erdoğan's speech are as follows:
"Unlike the opposition, we do not look for faults, flaws, or mistakes in the voters because of their voting preferences; we always look at ourselves. It is not in our nature to insult earthquake victims just because they did not vote for us, or to throw victims out on the street in the middle of the night.
(CHP) The nation has given them a mandate, authority, and resources, but they come out and brag about not laying foundations, not pouring asphalt, and not building roads. In the provinces governed by the CHP, our citizens struggle to even receive basic municipal services, let alone be introduced to visionary projects.
In the last election defeat, they placed all the blame on 'Mr. Kemal,' whom they had praised to the skies by calling him our '13th President.'
At times they hoped for help from tutelage centers, at times from imperialist powers, and at times, as in the last elections, from terror barons. Today, they are calculating how to win the election by 'brewing' behind closed doors with structures remotely controlled by the separatist organization.
ARMED ATTACK IN KÜÇÜKÇEKMECE
Our Istanbul Police Department and Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office are meticulously conducting the necessary investigation. One of them has been caught. We will hopefully catch the others as well.
We have not allowed, and will not allow, Turkey to be dragged into an environment of insecurity and unrest under any circumstances.
We have ensured the transformation of 2,919 residences and 469 workplaces identified as risky structures in urban transformation.
I say let us embark on a brand new path in Tekirdağ on March 31. Are we ready to work hard in these 50 days?"
