President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made statements at the International Kindness Awards Ceremony held at the Beştepe People's Congress and Culture Center.

President Erdoğan's statements:

Hamas announced last week that it had accepted the ceasefire proposal. Israel continued its uncompromising stance. It showed its true face by attacking Rafah. As long as Western powers stand behind Netanyahu, the occupation in Palestine will not end. If Zionist expansionism continues like this, our world is pregnant with new conflicts. The tension experienced with Iran was just a sign of this. Israel's attacks on regional countries are increasing.

The Israeli administration needs to be stopped as soon as possible before more people die. Stopping the massacre is the first step. The perpetrators of genocide must be held accountable before justice. Israel has been shedding blood and taking lives for 76 years since the Nakba. It is openly usurping Palestinian lands. It shows every time that it does not recognize the law. But it continues to be protected by the system. The country that has killed 150 journalists in the last 7.5 months ranks high in press freedom in many countries in the region.

"WE HAVE DECIDED TO INTERVENE"

"We have decided to intervene in the genocide case filed by our South African friends against Israel. We are transmitting all documents regarding Israel's commission of the crime of genocide. Turkey stands with the Palestinian resistance fighters. The total amount of aid we have sent to Gaza has exceeded 54 thousand tons. We completely stopped export and import transactions with Israel last month. We ended a trade volume of approximately 9.5 billion dollars.

Our Palestinian brothers and sisters have become the pride of humanity with their upright stance despite all impossibilities. Despite the genocide applied for 229 days, Israel could not destroy the Palestinian people's determination to struggle. The Palestinian people were killed, tested with hunger and thirst; they experienced every kind of torture. But they never bowed down to oppression and the oppressor. They continue to defend the honor of humanity.

From here, I salute the brave children of Gaza and Ramallah on behalf of my country. I thank all people of conscience who fill the streets all over the world. I also congratulate the students and professors who held support demonstrations for Gaza despite the threats of the Zionist lobby. Israel has actually lost this brutal war. Our brothers and sisters in Gaza have written their names into history once again. Palestine will achieve victory. An independent and sovereign Palestine with 1967 borders must be established."

"I WAS VERY PLEASED"

"I was very pleased with the announcements that Norway, Ireland, and Spain will recognize the State of Palestine. We congratulate their leaders for these conscientious decisions. We also call on countries that have not yet recognized the State of Palestine to take the same step.

As Turkey, we strive to extend a helping hand to those in need with all our means wherever there is a problem and tragedy. We will continue to stand by the oppressed against the oppressor."
