President Erdoğan: Hey main opposition, tremble and pull yourselves together

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made statements at the AKP Kayseri Provincial Congress.

Highlights from President Erdoğan's statements are as follows:

Kayseri, which is the pride not only of us but of our nation, stands by its cause and its party. At the very beginning of my remarks, I would like to express my gratitude to our brothers and sisters in Kayseri who cast their votes for the People's Alliance in the March 31 elections.

Kayseri has always been by our side on our journey of serving our nation. With their determination, their labor, and their prayers, our brothers and sisters in Kayseri have never withheld their support from us. We have always been honored to walk shoulder to shoulder with Kayseri.

IT IS THE CENTER OF KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM OF THE OTTOMAN EMPIRE

We are here today to hold our provincial congress in Kayseri, a city we have visited countless times over the last 22 years. May our congress be auspicious. I thank the brothers and sisters who are handing over this sacred flag for their services. Kayseri is the favorite of emperors. It is the hearth of the Dulkadirids. It is the center of knowledge and wisdom of the Ottoman Empire. Kayseri is a city where art, craft, and politics are intertwined. Kayseri produces unity, state founders, and heads of state. Kayseri produces Mimar Sinans.

DO NOT LOWER THE QUALITY OF TURKISH POLITICS

You are also following the state of the opposition, which has now become a source of entertainment. There is neither seriousness nor maturity. It is unclear whether they are engaging in politics or playing games. At the very least, do not dash the hopes of our kin who have turned their faces toward our country. At the very least, do not lower the quality of Turkish politics. At the very least, do not cast a shadow over our government. I advise the main opposition party as follows: while the cards are being reshuffled in global politics and the next quarter-century of our nation is being determined, stop dealing with trivial matters. Hey main opposition, tremble and pull yourselves together.

THEY TOOK ON THE ROLE OF DEFENSE ATTORNEYS FOR THOSE WHO STOOD AGAINST US

A new era has begun in Syria. They said, 'What is Syria to you?' as if it were not our neighbor. They did not direct any of the criticisms they leveled at us toward those who came from thousands of kilometers away to intervene in Syria. They did not ask what the US is doing in Syria. They did not ask what Iran or Russia are doing in Syria. When terrorists were threatening Turkey, they shamelessly asked if they were going to attack us. Who said this? The main opposition. We heard similar sentences when we rushed to the aid of our brothers in Libya and Karabakh. They took on the role of defense attorneys for those who stood against us. We were subjected to the same attitude when we raised our voices against the humanitarian tragedy in Gaza.

ASSAD FLED IN A SINGLE NIGHT

They have not shown the courage to stand on the right side of history. History has proven us right on the issue of Syria as well. The Ba'ath regime was destroyed in a few days. The tyrant Assad had to flee Syria in a single night without even looking back. The murderers who brutally killed children, babies, and civilians are receiving the treatment they deserve. The Syrian people are taking firm steps toward building a new administration where they will determine their own future.
