President Erdoğan holds phone call with German President Steinmeier

According to information received from the Directorate of Communications, during the call between President Erdoğan and German President Steinmeier, the leaders discussed bilateral relations between Turkey and Germany, as well as regional and global developments.

During the meeting, President Erdoğan stated that relations between Turkey and Germany have gained positive momentum through recent high-level contacts.

President Erdoğan noted that the war in the region has begun to weaken Europe as well, and that if this trend is not addressed with a peace-oriented approach, the damage caused by the conflict process will be much greater.

President Erdoğan said that Turkey is making efforts to end conflicts and achieve lasting peace through negotiations in the Ukraine-Russia war, just as it has done regarding Iran.
