AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has arrived in New York, USA, to attend the 79th United Nations (UN) General Assembly. President Erdoğan is expected to hold significant meetings during his stay in New York.

President Erdoğan, who arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport, was welcomed by Turkey's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Ahmet Yıldız, Ambassador to Washington Sedat Önal, and Consul General in New York Ambassador Muhittin Ahmet Yazal.

President Erdoğan was accompanied to the US by his wife Emine Erdoğan, Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, Head of the National Intelligence Organization İbrahim Kalın, Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, Chief Advisor to the President on Foreign Policy and Security Akif Çağatay Kılıç, and other accompanying officials.

As part of his visit to the US, Erdoğan will attend the 79th UN General Assembly. President Erdoğan, who is expected to deliver important messages, will address the UN General Assembly.
