President Erdoğan meets with Syrian President Shara
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a meeting with Syrian President Ahmed Shara in Qatar, where he is attending the Extraordinary Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League.

The meeting addressed bilateral relations between Turkey and Syria as well as regional issues.
During the meeting, President Erdoğan stated that Shara's participation in the United Nations General Assembly meeting was of historical importance, that Turkey would continue to support Syria, and that they are working to improve bilateral relations.
President Erdoğan noted that Turkey is following steps that will bring different elements in Syria together, and that it is important to preserve Syria's unity and solidarity and for the SDF to comply with the March 10 agreement.
President Erdoğan was accompanied at the meeting by Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan and Director of the National Intelligence Organization İbrahim Kalın.
