AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan appeared before his voters at the 'Rebuild Great Istanbul' rally held at Atatürk Airport.
Erdoğan, who introduced his Istanbul candidate Murat Kurum to voters ahead of the local elections and stated that inflation would fall, did not make any announcement regarding retirees, contrary to expectations.
Erdoğan, who disappointed retirees expecting a raise with his statement, was also disappointed at this rally.
Announcing the number of participants gathered in the area, Erdoğan stated that 650 thousand people had gathered, while expressing his disappointment with the words, "We are used to 1.5 million people here, but today there are 650 thousand people."
Journalist İsmail Saymaz provided information in a statement on his social media account that new rallies would be organized in Istanbul to address this disappointment.
Stating that Erdoğan plans to hold rallies in 3-4 districts, Saymaz wrote the following:
"The President has set aside Friday and Saturday for Istanbul's districts.
Erdoğan is planned to hold rallies in 3-4 districts."
