AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made important statements at the Beştepe People's Exhibition Hall.
Highlights from President Erdoğan's statements:
-Through you, I convey my gratitude on behalf of myself and my nation to all our police officers, soldiers, gendarmes, watchmen, and security guards who serve selflessly across the four corners of Turkey and who often put their lives on the line for the security of our country.
-According to the great man of cause and thought, Master Necip Fazıl, there is a scent of divine union in iftar. I thank every guest who accepted our invitation and graced our iftar table, with whom we share the scent of this divine union.
OBSTACLES MUST BE REMOVED
-I hope these blessed days will open the door to peace, tranquility, solidarity, and brotherhood in our region and the world, and serve as a means to remove the obstacles before us one by one.
-We have risked death when necessary for every inch of our country. We have reached these days by giving the strongest response to the invaders who attempted to perform surgery on our state. As long as God grants us life, we will continue to live here on these lands with our heads held high and our foreheads clear.
NO ONE CAN TEAR US FROM THESE LANDS
-You, our precious heroes who protect the sacred homeland soil on land, in the air, and at sea, are a steel fortress that the enemies of this country and nation have not been able to overcome and never will. You buried them in their dens. You will continue to bury them with that same faith and passion as you have until now. I believe in this. As long as you stand side by side and back to back, with your police, gendarmerie, coast guard, and security guards, just as you are here today, with God's permission, no one can tear us from these lands.
WE PASSED A SUCCESSFUL TEST
-We do not have the luxury of watching events from the stands. We are obliged to be prepared for all kinds of scenarios and to manage and direct the events in our region in a way that favors our country. We have passed a very successful test in this regard, especially in recent years. We did what was right in our neighbor Syria for 13.5 years, at the cost of paying a price.
OUR WILL WAS CRITICIZED FREQUENTLY
-In the last 8-10 years, we have cleared many stones and mines on the path to our goal, which we describe today as a Turkey free of terrorism. Our will to fight terrorism, especially our cross-border operations, was frequently criticized and even sabotaged. We have moved toward our goals with confident steps.
-We are closer than ever to permanently and definitively getting rid of a scourge that has been exploiting the blood, life, and resources of our nation for 40 years.
WE ARE NOT PURSUING PERSONAL AGENDAS
It is unthinkable for a politician who feels a sense of responsibility toward their nation to turn their back on such an opportunity. We are obliged to make the best use of our advantage to achieve a result that will be for the benefit of all 85 million people. I want our dear nation to know this very well, together with you. We are never pursuing personal agendas. We only and solely think about the future of the nation. We are concerned with doing what is most correct and most accurate for Turkey. Our goal is to establish a permanent climate of security, both internally and externally, where not a single one of our security personnel or our children will even have their nose bleed.
WE NEED TO ACT CAUTIOUSLY
Everyone who does not let their ambition enslave their mind can see this reality very clearly. At a time when our region and the world are in a historical process of restructuring, we as Turkey need to act very cautiously. In these days when the genocide network declares its intentions to divide our region with new maps, we must also determine our policies accordingly. If we allow the game played a century ago to be repeated, neither our ancestors nor future generations will forgive us. As the grandchildren of Sultan Alparslan and Saladin, we will not allow the Zionists to perform new surgeries in our region, with God's permission, by joining our hearts together."
