According to a statement from the Directorate of Communications, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone conversation with United States President Donald Trump.
The conflict between Israel and Iran, as well as regional and global issues, were discussed during the call.
AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan stated during the meeting that Turkey is closely monitoring the tension between Iran and Israel, and that Turkey views the initiated nuclear negotiations as the only path to resolving the dispute.
In this context, the President expressed his support for the US view that nuclear negotiations must continue to resolve the dispute.
During the call, President Erdoğan stated that Turkey is ready to do its utmost to prevent an uncontrollable escalation of the tension.
