President Erdoğan to the opposition: Our stance against the opposition's hysterical fits has not changed for years

The Presidential Cabinet Meeting has concluded. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made statements after the meeting as he appeared before the cameras.

Here are the highlights from Erdoğan's statements:

"My dear nation, esteemed members of the press, I greet you with my most heartfelt feelings and respect. I also respectfully greet all my citizens who follow us from our 81 provinces as well as from different countries around the world.

I once again remember with mercy the poet and writer Yavuz Bülent Bakiler, who passed away yesterday, and I wish patience to his family and loved ones. I pray that Almighty Allah may honor him with His paradise.

I would like to provide a summary of the important programs we have carried out in the last 3 weeks.

On September 15, we attended the Extraordinary Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League in Qatar. We pointed out the importance of taking a joint stance against Israel. Our visit to Qatar was important in terms of showing our solidarity.

Despite Israel's efforts to obstruct it, the Palestinian cause left its mark on the 80th General Assembly.

(İŞKUR Youth Program) We have decided to increase the quota to 150 thousand. We aim to have 1 million of our students benefit from the program by the end of 2028.

Except for a handful of countries, almost no one wants to stand side by side or be photographed with Israel and the Netanyahu government.

As a country that has practically taken the lead in this struggle, we are very pleased that the number of countries recognizing Palestine has reached 158.

Almost everyone accepts that Netanyahu, who is cornered by corruption investigations, is dragging the region and the world into fire to save his seat.

Although delayed, it is extremely important that the United Kingdom and France, two members of the Security Council, recognize the State of Palestine.

We stand tall by the side of the Palestinian people who are defending their lands, their freedom, and their honor.

We neither bow to the pressures of the global Zionist lobby nor do we yield to the smear campaigns of their hitmen within us.

Our stance against the opposition's hysterical fits has not changed for years. We carry the trust of 86 million; our burden and our duty are very heavy.

The heartless people who ask us 'what do we have to do with Gaza, what do we have to do with Syria, Libya, or Somalia' have no value whatsoever when they come out and criticize us today.

The reason why the opposition, with its politicians and journalists, is trying to disparage our US visit in a state of frenzy is that the visit was exceptionally successful.

If we had looked at what the opposition said, Turkey would not have any of the infrastructure and superstructure investments it has today.

SOCIAL HOUSING ANNOUNCEMENT

We are pushing the button to build 500 thousand social housing units in all of our 81 provinces through our Ministry of Environment.

SPECIAL QUOTA WILL BE ALLOCATED

We will allocate a special quota for our martyrs and veterans, our retirees, our youth, and families with 3 children.

RENTAL HOUSING PRACTICE BEGINS

For the first time, we will start a rental housing practice with TOKİ. We will rent out some of the social housing units under favorable conditions and provide relief to our low-income families.
