President Erdoğan: We cannot get anywhere by pinning our hopes on others

Erdoğan said, "We say 'there is goodness in unity,' and we are trying to expand alliances and reduce conflicts both within ourselves and in the Islamic world.

We desire for the Ummah of Muhammad, which has directed history and brought order to the world for centuries, to interlock once again like the bricks of a wall," he said.

President Erdoğan stated, "Under the guidance of the Quran and the Sunnah, we must place noble and virtuous morals at the center of our lives. Each of us must embrace this belief and this determination. However, we must first make this understanding prevail in our own lives. It is a vital issue to introduce our children and youth to the exemplary morals of our Prophet and to bring them together with the values represented by the Messenger of Allah. Only in this way can we convey the values that sprout in our hearts, flourish in our families, and grow in our nation to all of humanity," he said.

Emphasizing that we are living in a historical period where good and evil are struggling, even if the actors and scenarios change, Erdoğan noted that a significant portion of the geographies where their hearts beat, from Palestine to Lebanon, from Sudan to Somalia, have been struggling with crisis, war, and instability for years. Erdoğan said, "Innocent children, unaware of everything, are being targeted in plain sight. Babies and children are falling into the earth before they even get to know the world or understand what is happening.

Women, the elderly, healthcare workers, and aid workers are being massacred with bombs not in war and conflict zones, but in civilian settlements. In Gaza, which the genocide network has turned into the world's largest children's graveyard, even kites are seen as a threat and are being blocked. In Palestine alone, millions of our brothers and sisters are struggling to survive under very difficult conditions, deprived of the most basic needs," he said.

President Erdoğan pointed out that in Lebanon, 1.3 million people have had to leave their homes and belongings due to the attacks of the Israeli administration. Stating that more than four thousand people have been killed, most of whom are children and women, and that more than 12 thousand Lebanese have been injured, Erdoğan said, "Israel's war-addicted current government is trying every kind of provocation to drag our entire region, starting with its neighbors, into instability. The radical, occupying, genocidal ideology called Zionism does not only threaten the peace of its neighbors. It targets everyone who defends regional peace and humanitarian values. While we draw attention to the expansionist ambitions of Zionism, we do this not for ourselves, but on behalf of all peoples in the region, regardless of their faith, and on behalf of the front of humanity," he expressed.

Erdoğan continued his words as follows:

"In recent history, civilians have unfortunately had to pay the price for the silence towards Hitler, Pol Pot, and other deranged tyrants. Millions of people from different backgrounds and different faiths were subjected to genocide in Hitler's concentration camps and Pol Pot's killing fields. Unfortunately, humanity just watched what was happening at that time. Today, the same mistake is being repeated in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon. The necessary reaction is not being shown in the world to the lawless, principle-less, value-less, and borderless policies of this genocide network. Neither global structures nor the international community can demonstrate a strong will to prevent massacres today, just as they could not yesterday.

I believe that this reality must now be realized. As Muslims, we cannot get anywhere by pinning our hopes on others. We are obliged to be strong, to be a deterrent, to defend our rights and laws together, and to build peace and security together. For this reason, we say 'there is goodness in unity,' and we are trying to expand alliances and reduce conflicts both within ourselves and in the Islamic world. We desire for the Ummah of Muhammad, which has directed history and brought order to the world for centuries, to interlock once again like the bricks of a wall. As Muslims, we want to walk into the future together by believing in each other, relying on each other, shoulder to shoulder, and heart to heart. All our efforts are for the sake of ensuring alliance and unity. All our endeavors are for the construction of a climate of peace and security in our geography. Hopefully, as much as our strength allows, we will continue to put our entire bodies, along with our hands, under the stone for the sake of unity, for the establishment of brotherhood, and for the Islamic world to act in unity and integrity."

Noting that they are conducting politics with this consciousness not only in near and distant geographies but also in Turkey, Erdoğan said that they are looking for ways to further strengthen the brotherhood and shared destiny of 86 million people.

Erdoğan wished that the events organized throughout the Mevlid-i Nebi Week, which they observed with the theme of 'Our Prophet and Good Morals,' would serve to understand the alliance and unity politics preached by the Ummah, along with the Prophet's exemplary personality. Congratulating the Presidency of Religious Affairs, Erdoğan conveyed his gratitude to muftis, imams, muezzins, educators, Quran course instructors, and office staff, from the central organization to provincial and overseas personnel.
