President Erdoğan's statement on Kazakhstan: Our contractors have undertaken over 500 projects totaling 30 billion

Erdoğan is holding various meetings and attending events as part of his visit to Kazakhstan. President Erdoğan most recently made significant remarks at the Turkey-Kazakhstan Business Forum.

Stating that Turkish contractors have carried out over 500 projects in Kazakhstan, President Erdoğan said, "We believe that the agreements we have signed will further encourage mutual investments."

"I congratulate the brotherly Kazakh people on the occasion of the Defender of the Fatherland Day and Victory Day, which were observed recently. May your new constitution bring prosperity to the brotherly Kazakh people.

We will always be a supporter of Kazakhstan. We have discussed many issues on our common agenda. We have signed 13 different documents. I believe that economic and commercial relations will contribute to this. We are following Kazakhstan's progress in the field of economy under the leadership of Tokayev. Kazakhstan's national income has approached 15 thousand dollars. There is a Kazakhstan that possesses the largest economy in Central Asia, with a foreign trade volume reaching 145 billion dollars.

'OUR CONTRACTORS HAVE UNDERTAKEN 500 PROJECTS'

Kazakhstan has become our partner with whom we conduct the most exports within the Turkic world. Our contractors have undertaken over 500 projects totaling 30 billion. More than 750 Kazakh firms continue their operations in Turkey with investments exceeding 2 billion dollars. Thanks to our strong partnership based on mutual trust, our trade volume approached 10 billion dollars as of the end of last year. Of course, we are not content with these.

'OUR TARGET IS 15 BILLION DOLLARS'

We are determinedly continuing our efforts to reach our target of 15 billion dollars in a sustainable and balanced manner. Frankly, I am sure that we can do much more and reach much higher levels. We believe that the agreements we have signed will further encourage mutual investments. We also discussed issues that will positively affect our trade. I believe that we will make progress on these matters. We are facing multi-dimensional challenges. Cooperation has gained even more importance.

'WE FOLLOW KAZAKHSTAN'S BREAKTHROUGHS IN THE FIELD OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE WITH APPRECIATION'

We follow Kazakhstan's breakthroughs in the field of artificial intelligence with appreciation. We find it meaningful that the main theme of tomorrow's summit has been determined as artificial intelligence and digital development. As Turkey, we are a country that has ensured energy supply security by providing resource diversity years ago. We have a very good cooperation with Kazakhstan in the field of defense industry. Today, we have confirmed our will to advance our cooperation with new projects, including joint production."
