President Erdoğan's statement on 'matter of survival'

Erdoğan attended the program regarding the Ideathon Competition organized by the AKP Headquarters Women's Branch.

Distinguished guests, my valuable companions and fellow travelers, the family, which has been targeted globally in recent years, is the center of movement and resistance for society.

Any slight fracture in the links of the chain extending from the individual to the family, and from the family to the nation, will, God forbid, bring about problems that will take many years to repair and compensate for.

For this reason, we must not forget that every attack directed at the family is also aimed at the backbone of the nation and the state. In this respect, we view the protection of the family institution and family values as a matter of national security and survival.

I personally find the following observations by the late Samiha Ayverdi regarding the family to be very valuable.

See how the late Ayverdi describes the family, which she called the smallest but most robust cell of society. The family is a purified, believing, and self-secured structure that provides sound individuals to society, does not allow those who want to infiltrate, do not sustain or produce, and want to cause destruction by opening fire on established orders and fundamental values to have an opportunity.

Yes, this is the place of the family in society. This is its mission, and this is the role it plays.
