President Erdoğan's statement on Narin: They have become so inhumane that they politicize a child's funeral

I pray that this beautiful night will be a means of salvation for all the oppressed, especially those in Gaza, who are struggling with death, hunger, persecution, and oppressors in different corners of the earth.

WE WILL STRIVE TO BENEFIT

Our Presidency of Religious Affairs commemorates the Mawlid al-Nabi week under a different theme every year. The theme of this year's programs has been determined as 'Our Prophet and the Construction of Personality.' Throughout the week, we will all strive to benefit from the grace of these exceptional days through programs to be held both at home and abroad.

WE WILL REACH THE SECRET OF BEING ONE

Our Prophet did not just reveal the Quran; he lived it and gave it flesh and bone. Our guide and our leader is him and him alone. The Holy Quran is a prescription for salvation for humanity. We see this day as an opportunity for a spiritual revival. Hopefully, we will once again reach the secret of being one and being united. We will rebuild our personalities in the footsteps of our Prophet, who is the most beautiful personality to have emerged among people.

THEY ARE ATTACKING TO OPEN A BREACH IN THIS FORTRESS

Strong personalities create a strong society. If individuals are corrupted, the family is corrupted. If the family degenerates, society rots. If society rots, the country rots. All of humanity suffers. As a nation, we have been facing a multi-faceted, very carefully thought-out siege for the last two centuries. They have been targeting the same point for years. They are attacking to collapse the fortress of faith of this nation, or at least to open a breach in this fortress. They did this for a period by closing and selling our mosques. They did this for a period by silencing the calls to prayer rising from our minarets.

THEY MADE OUR DAUGHTERS CRY

For a period, they did this by making our daughters cry at university gates. In this destruction project, media was sometimes used. Sometimes cinema, theater, and television series were used. Sometimes intellectuals with hatred flowing from their pens were used. And sometimes politicians were used.

THEY STARTED TARGETING WHAT IS READ IN THE KHUTBAH

My dear scholars, although not as much as before, we still see some people acting as subcontractors for this spiritual occupation project. We do not expect anything from them other than evil and discord for the country anyway. Some fall into the trap of the nation's enemies and support this unintentionally. Let me draw your attention to this point in particular. This ideological bigotry has reached such dimensions that they have started to target what is read in the khutbah (sermon). Someone who doesn't know their place comes out and pontificates. They try to lecture our scholars.

THEY ARE HIDING BEHIND GAZI MUSTAFA KEMAL

While doing this, they hide behind Gazi Mustafa Kemal. Instead of revealing what is inside them, they try to use Gazi Mustafa Kemal as a tool for their insolence. Unfortunately, no one in the party he belongs to confesses, and no one, including the chairman, shows any reaction.

Some can become so inhumane that they politicize the funeral of a child who was taken from life at the age of 8. The extensions of a terrorist organization that has shed the blood of hundreds of children in 40 years and taken hundreds of Narins from us try to give lessons on humanity without looking in the mirror. The family and religion are being targeted. Even the people of Diyarbakır and our Kurdish brothers are being targeted. This is to provoke this nation and play with the nerve endings of society. We will take every necessary step to ensure that those who basely murdered an innocent child are held accountable before the judiciary. We will also hold those responsible for the baseness in Tekirdağ accountable before the law. At the same time, we will not tolerate marginals using these disgraceful events to absolve themselves of their sins and target the institution of the family.
