President of the International Universities Council revealed to be a 'fake academic'
It has been revealed that the president of the International Universities Council, which was established by a Council of Ministers decision on August 4, 2010, is not an academic despite presenting himself as one.

International Universities Council President Orhan Hikmet Azizoğlu has been revealed to be a fake academic.
The council was established in 2010 by a decision of the Council of Ministers and with the signature of Erdoğan. Orhan Hikmet Azizoğlu serves as the president of the council.
The council's website includes information stating that Azizoğlu is an academic.
Furthermore, the site states that he is a recipient of the Republic of Turkey State Medal of Honor and Certificate.
According to a report by İsmail Arı from Birgün, it has emerged that Azizoğlu, whose educational background is not listed on the site, has not completed any doctoral program and is not an academic.
“I AM NOT AN ACADEMIC”
When asked, “Is it true that although you are the president of the International Universities Council, to which many universities are affiliated, you are not an academic, yet you present yourself as one?” Azizoğlu replied, “I am not an academic, I am not a university professor.”
It is alleged that when asked, “What is your degree?” Azizoğlu responded, “I will not answer this question. I do not see the need.”
115 UNIVERSITIES AFFILIATED
On the other hand, it is stated that a total of 115 universities, 14 of which are from Turkey, are members of the council. Member universities from Turkey include Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen, Van Yüzüncü Yıl, Gebze Technical, Sivas Cumhuriyet, Fırat, Istanbul Kültür, Hakkari, Akdeniz, KTO Karatay, Bitlis Eren, Gedik, Muş Alparslan, Munzur (Tunceli), and Bingöl University. It is also noted that many universities from 28 countries, primarily in Afghanistan, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Congo, Pakistan, Sudan, and Uganda, are members from abroad.
