Following the high number of shares and thousands of comments on the footage, a notable statement came from Presidential Chief Advisor Oktay Saral. Pointing out that the trials should be closed to the press, Saral stated that it is forbidden to bring devices that can record footage into the courtroom.

In the post where Saral filed a complaint with the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK), he was seen using the term 'spineless' for İmamoğlu.

"Who is letting this spineless person put on these shows? Trials are held closed to the press. It is forbidden to bring devices such as phones or video cameras into the courtroom. Given this, the court panel that turned a blind eye to these recordings being made should be suspended immediately. I call on the HSK to take action."
