Prison sentence sought for muhtar who sexually abused his girlfriend's daughter while attending 'swinger' parties with her
A prosecutor has submitted his opinion in the trial of neighbourhood muhtar M.M. (54) and the girl's mother M.A. (48), who lived together in Konya and attended 'swinger' parties. M.M. is accused of sexually abusing M.A.'s daughter S.A. (17) over a period of 3 years and recording sexually explicit photographs and videos of her on his phone, while M.A. is alleged to have made the recordings. The prosecutor demanded up to 25 years in prison for both M.M. and M.A. on charges of 'using children in the production of obscene publications' and 'aggravated sexual abuse of a child'. The court also requested that the Council of Forensic Medicine determine S.A.'s bone age.

Konya Cumhuriyet Başsavcılığı (Konya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office) received a criminal complaint against M.M., the muhtar of a neighbourhood in the Selçuklu district, a married man and father of one daughter, alleging that he had sexually abused a girl named S.A. The investigation launched in response established that S.A.'s parents were divorced and that her mother, M.A., was living together with muhtar M.M. Muhtar M.M. and mother M.A. were taken into custody on 18 February. Officers from the Cybercrime Unit, examining M.M.'s seized phone, found sexually explicit photographs and videos involving S.A.
'HE TOOK NAKED PHOTOGRAPHS OF ME'
In a statement taken from S.A. at the Child Monitoring Centre during the investigation phase, she said she is currently 17 years old and that M.M.'s abuse had continued at intervals for 3 years. In her statement, S.A. said: "I was probably 14 years old at the time. M.M. was kind and close to me. After a while he started touching me, caressing me, undressing me and taking naked photographs of me, and engaging in anal intercourse. I was uncomfortable with this situation but I didn't say anything because I didn't want my mother to be upset or for their relationship to be damaged. He provided us with material and moral support. I never told my mother about these incidents. I am not filing a complaint against M.M."
M.A., in her statement, said: "I met M.M. around 2018. We occasionally attended swinger parties. I have no knowledge of any photographs that were taken."
Muhtar M.M., in his own statement, admitted to having sexual relations with S.A. and said: "Many of the photographs found on my phone were taken by her mother. There is no way she had no knowledge of the photographs." Muhtar M.M. and mother M.A. were arrested.
The prosecutor submitted his opinion to the court in the case opened against M.M. and M.A. at Konya 3rd Heavy Criminal Court. The opinion called for up to 25 years in prison for each on charges of 'using children in the production of obscene publications' and 'aggravated sexual abuse of a child'.
The court, which requested that the Council of Forensic Medicine determine S.A.'s bone age, adjourned the hearing.
