Prison sentences for 15 people, including a former HDP MP, in Mardin
In the verdict hearing of the KCK case filed in 2014 in Mardin against HDP politicians on charges of “being a member of an organization,” 15 defendants were sentenced.

Lawyers were present at the hearing held at the Mardin 2nd High Criminal Court, while the defendants did not attend.
The prosecutor stated that the defendants were affiliated with KCK/TM, which carried out activities in Mardin on behalf of the PKK terrorist organization, actively operated within the so-called city council and took part in some actions in line with instructions given by KCK, adding that what those actions were was present in the file with evidence.

After the lawyers’ defense statements, the court announced its decision and sentenced 15 people, including former HDP MP Gülser Yıldırım, to prison for organization membership.
Nazım Kök was sentenced to 7 years 6 months, Davut Bozan to 7 years 6 months, Davut Şahin to 7 years 6 months, Lokman Ekenek to 7 years 6 months, Erdal Irmak to 6 years 3 months, Ziver Gümüş to 7 years 6 months, İpek Güneş to 7 years 6 months, Ayşe Bozan to 7 years 6 months, Musa Alkan to 6 years 10 months 15 days, İsa Durç to 6 years 10 months 15 days, Genco Akman to 6 years 3 months, Sedat Dağ to 6 years 3 months, Gülser Yıldırım to 6 years 3 months, Mesut Amak to 6 years 3 months, and Abdulkadir Aktaş to 6 years 3 months in prison.
