Private Tema College owner Malik Erdoğan and his relatives attacked teachers

It has emerged that the administrators of the Private Tema College, which decided to close its campus in Kastamonu, committed violence against teachers who came to discuss their financial rights.

The Private Sector Teachers' Union also shared footage of the teachers being subjected to violence.

In a statement made by the union regarding the issue, it was stated that the teachers had filed a complaint, and it was requested that the attackers be prosecuted in a process where the Ministry of National Education is directly involved and a plaintiff as the representative of the teachers.

The administrators of the Private Tema College, who decided to close their campus in Kastamonu, gave the teachers an appointment at the Doğa Village Teachers' House, affiliated with the Ministry of National Education, following their statements that they would hold meetings regarding the teachers' financial rights.

The owner of Tema College and his sons attacked the teachers who came to the meeting and beat them.

The beaten teachers stated that this incident was carried out in a planned and organized manner, that the suspects did not accept their participation in the meeting with their lawyers, that they were invited to an environment where they would be abused psychologically and in terms of security, and that they had informed the Provincial Directorate of National Education officials before this incident that the meeting environment was not safe.

Following the complaints of the victimized teachers who were beaten, the incident reached judicial authorities.

CALL FROM TEACHERS TO THE MINISTER OF NATIONAL EDUCATION

Dear Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, all officials of the ministry, and the Kastamonu Provincial Directorate of National Education, which is directly linked to the incident, must take immediate action without wasting time in the face of this despicable, disgusting attack.

Hundreds of thousands of education workers will understand whether they are under the protection of the Ministry of National Education in the face of this despicable attack by the concreteness and speed of the steps to be taken.

Malik Erdoğan and his sons Erdem Erdoğan and Onur Erdoğan must be prosecuted in a process where the Ministry of National Education is directly involved and a plaintiff as the representative of the teachers, and their rights to manage an educational institution must be revoked.

Education, students, and teachers cannot be left to the mercy of urban thugs and assailants.
