Pro-government journalist gives 'date' for IMM indictment! 'It will exceed 2,000 pages...'

Emin Pazarcı, Ankara Representative of the pro-government Akşam newspaper, has provided a date for the indictment of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) case, which has captured public attention. Responding to Pazarcı's post, CHP's Mahmut Tanal stated, "If a 2,000-page indictment is being written before it is even submitted to the court, this is a clear violation of confidentiality. The Chief Public Prosecutor must immediately launch an investigation into this leak."

CHP's presidential candidate and IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu has been held in Silivri Prison for 202 days.

Public attention is focused on the indictment for the case in which İmamoğlu and many IMM officials were arrested. While the CHP has called for the indictment to be prepared, Emin Pazarcı, Ankara Representative of the pro-government Akşam newspaper, gave a date for the IMM case indictment in a post on his social media account.

Pazarcı noted the following in his post:

"It's coming, it's coming...

The first one will exceed 2,000 pages, the second one will be even more voluminous. Like a brick, volumes full.

I wonder what those who say 'Where is the indictment, there is no evidence' will do!

The Aziz İhsan Aktaş Criminal Organization indictment, which exceeds 2,000 pages, will be submitted to the court this Friday or, at the latest, next Tuesday.

The indictment regarding Ekrem İmamoğlu, involving over 300 defendants, is being written. It will be more comprehensive. It will be announced by the end of this month or, at the latest, by the beginning of November.

It will take days just to read them in court. Those who say 'there is no evidence' will listen and see what is actually there."

REACTION FROM TANAL: 'AN INVESTIGATION MUST BE LAUNCHED IMMEDIATELY'

CHP Şanlıurfa MP Mahmut Tanal reacted to the post in which Pazarcı provided a date for the indictment.

Asking, "Wasn't the investigation confidential?" Tanal drew attention to where Emin Pazarcı obtained this information and stated, "An investigation must be launched immediately regarding this leak."
