The first hearing of the new week in the IMM trial, in which CHP's presidential candidate and IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu is being tried as a defendant, witnessed tense moments.

HEARING ADJOURNED

Following the arguments that took place, the court panel decided to adjourn the hearing until tomorrow.

CORRIDOR CONTROVERSY

It was alleged that journalist Ferhat Murat, known for his proximity to the AKP, used the corridor reserved for judges and prosecutors at the Silivri courtroom. The case lawyers reacted to the situation, stating, "Even we are not allowed to enter that corridor."

MUTUAL REACTIONS IN THE COURTROOM

İmamoğlu reacted to the events, saying, "The man is making posts from there, spreading fake news. Come and report from here."

Aykut Erdoğdu's wife, Tuba Torun, also said, "Ferhat Murat, I will file a lawsuit against you for publicly spreading misleading information to the public."

While lawyers were filing an official report regarding the incident, it was alleged that Ferhat Murat nodded at the defendants while waiting in the corridor, saying "Exactly, exactly," and pointed his finger at them.

STATEMENT FROM İMAMOĞLU

Addressing the audience while leaving the courtroom, İmamoğlu made the following remarks:

"Unfortunately, the judicial panel does not want to conduct a trial. What it did today is a refusal to conduct a trial, because a mindset that takes the pro-government media into a place where no one else can enter and allows them to point fingers at our friend from there does not want to conduct a trial; it continues to manage perception. We will continue our struggle."

"I DID NOT ENTER THROUGH A RESTRICTED AREA"

According to reports by Muratcan Altuntoprak, journalist Ferhat Murat, who caused a crisis in the courtroom, made a statement in front of the hall. He claimed that he did not enter through a restricted area.

POLICE PREVENTED QUESTIONS TO MURAT

According to reports by Murat Ağırel, a journalist who wanted to ask a question to the AKP-affiliated Ferhat Murat was blocked by a security officer.

FERHAT MURAT'S POST

Pro-government journalist Ferhat Murat, in a post on his social media account regarding the hearing, claimed that İmamoğlu, Aykut Erdoğdu, and Erdoğdu's lawyer wife Tuba Torun provoked the hearing.

“I am in Silivri.

I am observing the trial of the İmamoğlu Profit-Oriented Criminal Organization on-site at the hall opposite the Marmara Closed Penal Execution Institution by the Istanbul 40th High Criminal Court.

The first day of this week's hearing began with the provocations of Ekrem İmamoğlu's lawyers and Aykut Erdoğdu's wife and lawyer, Tuba Torun, directed at the Presiding Judge.

The lawyers stated that after Presiding Judge Selçuk Aylan's accusations regarding last week's hearings, where Adem Soytekin was released, that the proceedings were ‘done by instruction and were a mise-en-scène,’ he would remove the lawyers from the courtroom if they continued their provocations.

Even the defendant Ahmet Güldü, who wanted to defend himself, reacted to this attitude of the lawyers.

The presiding judge adjourned the hearing because the heckling by the lawyers did not cease.

The hearing was adjourned as soon as it began.”
